Match Preview: Lady Eagles Look for Five in a Row

Match Preview:
The Lady Eagles Volleyball team returns to The Nest for their fourth consecutive match to take the court against the Coastal Alabama Community College (North) Coyotes. The Eagles have already met Coastal Alabama this season when they took on the squad from the South campus, taking a three-set sweep. This time, the North campus will bring their team in hopes of breaking the Lady Eagles' 4-game win streak.

The Lady Eagles enter this match on a winning streak of four and flying high on their momentum from Saturday. Clinton College and Freed-Hardeman University, two tough NAIA squads, visited The Nest for a tri-match; the Lady Eagles swept both teams and took every set they participated in. These were capped by standout performances from a number of Lady Eagles: Across both matches, Sydney Anderson logged 31 kills, Olivia Boyd and Allie Whiting co-led in assists with 33, and Madisyn Kandel and Hope Brooks combined for 66 total digs.

The Coyotes enter this match with an identical record to the Eagles, sitting at 9-4 with 2 wins on the bounce. Coastal has shared several common opponents with the Eagles, such as Baptist University of Florida, United States Sports University, and even Coastal Alabama South. Coastal swept BUF and USSU, but lost in 5 sets to their counterpart in the South, whom the Eagles swept earlier in the season. As the Coyotes search for their 10th win this season, the Eagles will be hunting for their 5th win in a row and 10th of the season!
