Match Preview: Lady Eagles Opening Day in "The Nest"

Match Preview:
The Lady Eagles volleyball team kicks off their 2025 season Saturday evening with a matchup against the Baptist University of Florida Lady Eagles, a new South Region opponent joining the NCCAA South Region this season.

This will be the first meeting between PCC and BUF in nearly 15 years, and it marks the season opener for both squads. Both teams enter the match coming off strong preseason performances—PCC earned two convincing victories in a tri-match last Friday, while BUF swept five sets against the United States Sports Academy last Saturday. Each side will be looking to carry that momentum into their first official contest of the season.

Baptist University of Florida recently restarted its athletic program after a lengthy hiatus. The last time the two schools met was during the 2010 season, when PCC swept both matches in three sets. With BUF returning to competition, their 2025 team remains something of a wildcard, meaning the Lady Eagles must be sharp from the start if they hope to open the season with a win.

New coaches Ryan Vanderboegh and Kenzie Folker will also be eager to begin their inaugural season on a high note. Don't miss the Lady Eagles' season opener against the BUF Lady Eagles tomorrow at 5:00 PM!
