Match Preview:
The Lady Eagles are back in action Tuesday evening for another home match against Faulkner University, a familiar NAIA opponent from Montgomery, Alabama. After extending their win streak to six on Friday night, the Lady Eagles will look to keep building momentum as they enter the final week of regular-season play.
Lyssie Metzker and Sydney Anderson co-led the weekend tri-match with 22 kills apiece, combining for nearly half of the team's total points across both matches. Senior setter Allie Whiting tallied 23 total assists across the two contests, capping off an impressive Senior Night performance alongside outside hitter Michaila Kinney.
Faulkner enters the week with a 9-15 record. Competing in the rigorous Southern States NAIA region, the Eagles from Montgomery have consistently proven to be a strong test for PCC. Earlier this season on September 9, Faulkner swept the Lady Eagles 3-0 at home, but this time, the Lady Eagles return to The Nest determined to even the series and defend their home court.
Having now won 17 of their last 20 matches, the Lady Eagles have showcased remarkable consistency throughout the year. With one of their few setbacks coming against Faulkner, Tuesday's rematch offers an opportunity for redemption and a chance to extend their late-season surge.
First serve is set for 5:00 PMÂ in The Nest, followed by the Eagles men's basketball team taking on Baptist University of Florida at 7:30 PM, a full night of Eagles athletics you won't want to miss!
