Game Preview:
The Eagles return to the Nest on Thursday evening for a matchup against the LB Wallace Community College Saints at 6:00 PM. The contest gives the Eagles an opportunity to move to 10-7 on the season and improve to 7-2 at home, just ahead of an upcoming stretch of NCCAA region opponents.
Tuesday's win over Southeastern Baptist highlighted both the firepower and depth of this Eagles squad. Senior Kaiden Pack continued his breakout season, leading the way with 25 points while shooting an efficient 66% from the field and 50% from beyond the arc. Pack is currently averaging 19 PPG, 6 RPG, and 4 APG, ranking 10th nationally in total scoring and 9th in PPG.Â
Liam Gerdts also delivered a strong performance, finishing with 22 points while knocking down 4 three-pointers and adding 9Â rebounds and 2 steals. Blaise Conlon and Raul Bertinato rounded out the scoring effort with 12 and 18 points, respectively, helping the Eagles secure the close victory.
LB Wallace enters Thursday's matchup with a 10-12 record, most recently earning a win over Reid State Technical College. The Saints average 72 PPGÂ this season while shooting 45% from the field, numbers the Eagles will need to account for on the defensive end. With three straight region matchups looming after Thursday, the contest presents an important opportunity to build momentum and confidence heading into a critical stretch of the schedule.
