PCC Secures Undefeated Home & Region Record with Senior Day Win

Game Recap:
After back-to-back South Region wins, the Lady Eagles entered their final regular-season game matched up against Trinity College of Jacksonville. Before tip-off, the team honored its lone senior, Amber Dudek. Following a competitive first half, the Lady Eagles trailed at the break with 20 minutes standing between them and an undefeated Region record and perfect home record in the 2025–26 season. Fighting until the final buzzer, the Lady Eagles' grit and resilience secured a 92–84 victory, ending the regular season 22–4 and undefeated in both Region play (8–0) and at home (13–0).

On the opening possession, Sky Boyd scored on an assist from Coalson to settle the team in offensively. Moments later, Amy Ahrens recorded a steal that led to a pair of Dudek free throws, helping establish a defensive tone. Senior Amber Dudek then knocked down her 20th three-pointer of the season, accounting for 5 of the team's first 7 points. Back-to-back buckets from Boyd helped the Lady Eagles build an early 11–2 lead in the opening four minutes. The advantage grew to 18–10 before Trinity responded with an 11–6 run over the final 2:30 of the quarter, trimming the deficit to 24–21 as the first period concluded.

Trinity opened the second quarter with back-to-back buckets to claim their first lead of the afternoon, 25–24. In one of the highest combined-scoring quarters of the season, the teams totaled 50 points in the frame. Trinity shot an efficient 11–21 from the field (52%), while the Lady Eagles went 4–15 from the floor. PCC found success at the free-throw line, shooting 11–14 (79%), with half of its second-quarter points coming from the charity stripe. Trinity ultimately outscored the Lady Eagles in the period, sending PCC into halftime trailing 49–46.

After a tightly contested first half, the Lady Eagles dug in defensively to protect their perfect home and Region records. Through the opening four minutes of the third quarter, neither team gained separation as Trinity maintained a 57–53 advantage. A three-pointer from Lydia Adams, her second of the game, ignited a spark. The Lady Eagles closed the quarter on a 15–6 run over the final 5:30. During that stretch, PCC forced 8 Trinity turnovers and capitalized with efficient offense, shooting 4–6 from the field and 5–6 from the free-throw line. The run was capped by two Sky Boyd free throws in the closing seconds, giving the Lady Eagles a 68–63 lead entering the fourth. Boyd had already poured in 26 points through three quarters, and she was far from finished.

Brooklyn Bosher opened the final frame with a jumper assisted by Dudek, extending the run to 17–6 over a six-minute span. Trinity answered with consecutive buckets to cut the margin to four, but Boyd responded with a score on another Dudek assist and followed with three straight field goals. After a Reagan Moilan three-pointer, the lead stretched back to nine. Once again, Trinity battled back, narrowing the gap to four. The decisive stretch came over the next two minutes, as the Lady Eagles put together an 8–2 run fueled by six Boyd points on a perfect 3–3 shooting clip. That push extended the lead to 10, and despite late pressure from Trinity, PCC closed out the 92–84 victory, clinching its 22nd win of the season and securing a second straight undefeated campaign inside "The Nest."

Leading the Lady Eagles with a historic performance was junior Sky Boyd, who totaled 41 points, 15 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals while shooting an incredible 16–21 (76%) from the field. Brooklyn Bosher added 22 points, 4 steals, and 2 rebounds, finishing a perfect 8–8 from the free-throw line. Lydia Adams contributed a season-high 8 points along with 2 steals and 2 rebounds. Senior Amber Dudek added 5 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists in 26 minutes of play in her final regular-season home game.

What's Next:
The Lady Eagles travel to Toccoa Falls, Georgia next week to compete in the 2026 South Region Tournament. Projected as the No. 1 overall seed, PCC enters with an 8–0 Region record and looks to continue its undefeated run while pursuing a fourth straight South Region title.
