Lady Eagles Roll Past LB Wallace, Secure 15th Consecutive Victory

Game Recap:
Coming off the largest margin of victory in program history, a 72-point win, the Lady Eagles returned home for their fourth straight game, hosting LB Wallace Community College. After a narrow margin through the opening five minutes, the Lady Eagles took control with a dominant run to close the first quarter and open the second, never looking back. Leading by as many as 37 points, the Lady Eagles secured their 15th consecutive regular season win, tying the program's all-time best winning streak with a 77-45 victory over the Saints.

The Lady Eagles struck first, scoring on their opening possession as Sky Boyd knocked down the first field goal of the night. A Brooklyn Bosher free throw and an and-one finish by Boyd followed, as the Lady Eagles were efficient offensively early but struggled to find defensive stops in the opening minutes. Holding a slim 8-7 lead with just under five minutes remaining in the first quarter, the Lady Eagles ignited a run that would prove to be the turning point of the game. An Abby Matney three-pointer sparked a decisive 30-3 run. Following Matney's triple, a jumper from Bosher was followed by another Matney three, a Lydia Adams layup, and a Boyd finish to close the first quarter with a 20-8 advantage.

The second quarter belonged to Lydia Adams, who orchestrated the offense during a dominant two-minute stretch in which she recorded 5 assists and 4 rebounds. During that span, the Lady Eagles went on an 11-0 run, with all 11 points coming directly off Adams assists. Sky Boyd continued to make her presence felt, scoring 11 points on 5-for-7 shooting in just six minutes of action during the quarter. With under a minute remaining before halftime, another jumper from Matney pushed the Lady Eagles lead to 40-15 at the break.

LB Wallace opened the third quarter with an early push, outscoring the Lady Eagles 8-6 in the first four minutes. However, back-to-back baskets by Boyd, both assisted by Adams, sparked another strong response. The Lady Eagles closed the third quarter on an 18-7 run to firmly reassert control heading into the final period.

With the outcome well in hand, the Lady Eagles continued to spread the scoring in the fourth quarter. Amber Dudek and Reagan Moilan led the way with 5 points apiece, combining to shoot 4-for-6 from the field as the Lady Eagles cruised to a 77-45 victory. The win marked the team's 15th straight victory overall and extended their home winning streak to 34 consecutive games.

Sky Boyd led all scorers with a career-high 28 points, shooting an efficient 13-for-18 from the field while adding 5 rebounds. Coming off the bench, Abby Matney provided a spark with 14 points on 6-for-11 shooting in 18 minutes. Sophomore Amy Ahrens rounded out the double-digit scorers with 10 points, 8 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 blocks. Lydia Adams delivered a standout performance of her own, recording 10 assists and 5 rebounds in 19 minutes while posting a game-high plus-minus of +36.
