Heat Check at Home: Lady Eagles Knock Down Randall for 12th Straight Win

Game Recap
Coming off a long road trip and looking to extend their winning streak to 12 games, the Lady Eagles returned home to face Randall University in their first home game of 2026. Having not lost to the Saints since March of 2017, the Lady Eagles continued that dominance, pulling away after a slow start to secure an 81–64 victory and their twelfth consecutive win.

The Lady Eagles opened the game with a basket by Amy Ahrens off an assist from Coalson, but the first quarter was tightly contested. Neither team led by more than four points, and with three ties and five lead changes, Randall held a narrow 18–15 advantage at the end of the opening frame. Despite five turnovers and five team fouls in the quarter, the Lady Eagles' discipline and composure kept them within striking distance.

The battle continued early in the second quarter, as both teams exchanged baskets through the first few minutes. Trailing by three with just under six minutes remaining before halftime, Amber Dudek knocked down a timely three-pointer to tie the game at 26–26. That shot sparked an 18–5 run to close the half, highlighted by a three-minute stretch in which the Lady Eagles connected on four three-pointers. Dudek, Abby Matney, and Autumn Boutwell each found the bottom of the net from deep during the surge. Buckets by Sky Boyd and free throws from Brooklyn Bosher capped the run, giving the Lady Eagles a 41–31 lead at the break.

The Lady Eagles came out of halftime firing once again, opening the third quarter with a three-pointer from Dudek and a jumper by Boyd to extend the lead to 15. Randall briefly cut the deficit to 10, but back-to-back three-pointers from Reagan Moilan and Boutwell quickly restored momentum. Boyd added consecutive buckets late in the quarter, and the Lady Eagles entered the final period holding a 62–48 advantage.

With a 14-point lead to start the fourth, the Lady Eagles continued to pour it on. Boutwell and Bosher each knocked down a three-pointer to push the lead to a game-high 19. A steal and transition basket by Micah Coalson midway through the quarter kept the energy high, and back-to-back scores by Ahrens extended the advantage to 23, the largest lead of the night. Randall trimmed the margin late, but the outcome was never in doubt as the Lady Eagles closed out the 81–64 victory, improving to 14 wins on the season and extending their winning streak to 12 games.

Sky Boyd led the Lady Eagles with a team-high 18 points and 11 rebounds, recording her 8th double-double of the season while shooting an efficient 8-for-13 from the field and a perfect 2-2 at the FT line. Brooklyn Bosher followed with 14 points, going 4-for-4 from the charity stripe. Autumn Boutwell added 11 points and 5 rebounds, while Amy Ahrens contributed a well-rounded stat line of 10 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 steals. Amber Dudek and Abby Matney also provided strong performances off the bench, each scoring 9 points and combining for 6 made three-pointers.
