Eagles Fall at LaGrange College

Game Recap:
Entering the week on a five-game winning streak, the Eagles traveled to face LaGrange College, hoping to break a four-game losing streak against the Panthers. With their last win over LaGrange dating back to 2015, the Eagles were determined to get back on track. After falling behind by 17 early, they managed to battle back to within 2 points. However, LaGrange ultimately pulled away to secure an 86-76 victory.

The game opened with LaGrange coming out aggressive, taking an early 22-7 lead within the first ten minutes. Sensing the game might slip away, the Eagles responded with a 25-12 run to close out the first half. During the run, the Eagles shot 11-17 from the field and 2-2 from beyond the arc. Kaiden Pack led the charge, scoring 12 of the Eagles' 25 points, while Colin Wilkerson contributed 7 points off the bench. At the break, the Eagles trailed by just 2 points, 34-32, after having been down by as many as 15.

The second half started with both teams exchanging baskets, but LaGrange soon put together a dominant 13-3 run over nearly four minutes. During this stretch, the Eagles struggled, turning the ball over three times and making just one field goal—by Liam Gerdts. Trailing 53-39, the Eagles fought back with a 12-2 run of their own, sparked by 9 points from Gerdts, to narrow the gap to 53-51. However, LaGrange responded with another 21-6 run, extending their lead to 17 points. Despite a strong closing push from the Eagles, they couldn't complete the comeback and fell 86-76.

Kaiden Pack led the Eagles offensively with 19 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists. Liam Gerdts closely followed with 17 points and 5 rebounds. Colin Wilkerson had a standout performance off the bench, setting a season-high with 13 points and 5 rebounds, while Josh Azucena added 12 points in 27 minutes of play.
