Eagles Nearly Hit Triple Digits in Victory Over Southeastern Baptist

Game Recap: 
After losing to Bob Jones on Saturday, the Eagles were determined to secure a road win against Southeastern Baptist. The last time these two teams met, just a couple of weeks ago, the Eagles dominated at home with a 103-45 victory. This time, the Eagles came out strong in the first half, leading 46-24 at the break. They never looked back, cruising to a decisive 99-42 win in the second half.

The game began with an 11-2 run by the Eagles, capped off by a big 3-pointer from Aaron Wagner. The Eagles controlled the opening portion of the game, with Liam Gerdts contributing half of the Eagles' first 18 points, scoring 9. The team then went on an 8-0 run, starting with a fast-break layup by Stephen Fike. After the run, the Eagles led 26-8, continuing to dominate the first half. Southeastern Baptist responded with a 7-0 run, narrowing the gap to 26-15 in an attempt to close the distance. Josh Azucena hit a big 3-pointer to stop Southeastern's momentum. The Eagles then answered with a 13-0 run, capped off by a massive 3-pointer from Brandtley Koske, pushing their lead to 42-19. The Eagles maintained control of the half, heading into halftime with a 46-24 lead.

In the second half, Kaiden Pack came out hot, hitting four consecutive 3-pointers to score the first 12 points for the Eagles. The Eagles were now up 58-28 and in firm control of the game. The Eagles then went on a 10-0 run, starting with a 3-pointer from Aaron Wagner. They continued to dominate the second half. To cap off the performance, the Longo brothers combined for a 10-0 run. The Eagles went on to win 99-42.

Kaiden Pack led the Eagles in scoring with 17 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. Liam Gerdts was next in scoring with 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists. The Eagles' bench also contributed significantly, combining for 40 of the team's 99 points, with 8 players scoring off the bench.

The Eagles' next game is Senior Night, scheduled for Saturday, February 22nd, against Trinity Baptist. Tip-off is set for 3:00 p.m. In their last meeting, the Eagles lost to Trinity Baptist on the road, 74-66. The Eagles are looking to finish the season strong at home with a key regional win against Trinity Baptist on Saturday.
