Eagles Dominate in Bounce-Back Win Over LB Wallace

Game Recap:
After a heartbreaking overtime loss to Toccoa Falls, the Eagles quickly refocused as they hosted LB Wallace on Tuesday night. Wasting no time, the Eagles stormed out to a commanding 17-2 lead and never lost control. Dominating in the paint with 46 points, receiving 23 points from the bench, and capitalizing on 15 second-chance opportunities, the Eagles cruised to an 85-64 victory.

From the opening tip, the Eagles set the tone with a scorching 17-2 run in the first five minutes. Shooting 6-9 from the field while stifling LB Wallace to just 1-13 shooting, the Eagles effectively put the game out of reach early. Senior Aaron Wagner led the charge in the first half with 13 points, while fellow senior Liam Gerdts added 10. The Eagles shot an impressive 59% from the field and 57% from three, out-rebounding LB Wallace 24-18 to take a commanding 51-30 lead into halftime.

Despite a dominant first half, the Eagles stumbled out of the break, surrendering two quick turnovers and struggling to find their rhythm. This allowed LB Wallace to capitalize with a 10-4 run. The Saints extended their push to a 25-14 run over the first ten minutes of the half, fueled by 10 Eagle turnovers and inefficient shooting. However, the Eagles responded down the stretch, closing the game on a decisive 16-6 run while shooting 6-10 from the field in the final six minutes. As the final buzzer sounded, the Eagles secured a convincing 85-64 win.

Aaron Wagner led the way with 15 points and 6 rebounds, while Colin Wilkerson and Paul Stickles each added 14 points, combining for an efficient 12-16 (75%) shooting performance. Brandtley Koske contributed 13 points and 6 rebounds, while Liam Gerdts stuffed the stat sheet with 12 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds.
