Bosher Steals the Show with Record-Breaking Performance in Win Over Coastal Alabama

Game Recap:
Coming off five straight wins and looking to avenge a tough loss to Coastal Alabama on November 11, the Lady Eagles returned to action Tuesday night with redemption on their minds. Fueled by a historic first quarter from junior Brooklyn Bosher, PCC took control early and never looked back, rolling to an 88-62 victory over the Coyotes for their sixth consecutive win.

To open the scoring, Bosher knocked down a three-pointer off an assist from Sky Boyd, setting the tone for what would be a dominant opening frame. Bosher was nearly unstoppable in the first quarter, shooting 8-9 from the field and 4-5 from behind the arc for 23 points in just nine minutes. The Lady Eagles overwhelmed the Coyotes on both ends to take a commanding 33-8 lead after one, with additional scoring contributions from Boyd, Autumn Boutwell, and Amber Dudek.

The momentum continued into the second quarter as PCC opened the period on a 9-1 run behind buckets from Micah Coalson, Bosher, and Boutwell to push the lead to 42-9. Coastal Alabama responded with a late surge, closing the half on a 16-5 run, but the Lady Eagles still carried a comfortable 22-point advantage into the locker room.

Out of halftime, the Coyotes trimmed the deficit with a quick 4-0 run, but any hope of a comeback was halted by a flurry of three-pointers fromBoutwell and Bosher The Lady Eagles rebuilt their lead to 27 as the teams traded baskets throughout the remainder of the third quarter. Three-pointers from Dudek and Abby Matney capped the frame, sending PCC into the fourth quarter up 25.

In the final period, Bosher continued her electric night with a steal and coast-to-coast finish, followed by another fastbreak bucket assisted by Boyd. Moments later, Bosher officially broke the program record for most points in a single game with 38. Boyd powered the fourth quarter effort with 8 points and 5 rebounds as the Lady Eagles comfortably closed out the contest. A steal and layup by Lydia Adams and a jumper from Mady Bruce sealed the 88-62 victory.

Bosher led all scorers with a record-breaking 38 points on 13-23 shooting from the field, 5-9 from three-point range, and a perfect 7-7 from the FT line. She also added 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals in an all-around dominant performance. Boyd notched her sixth double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Boutwell rounded out the double-figure scorers with 16 points.
