Eagles Draw for the First Time This Season

Game Recap:
After a slightly delayed start and inclement weather, the Eagles and Tornadoes carried on and began their 90-minute battle. Throughout the match, both teams battled each other and the elements to try and gain an edge and ultimately victory. By the end of the match, the resulting 0-0 score wasn't what either team was playing for, but it was indeed the outcome.

As the teams opened the match, possession and physicality were going to be key. As the match progressed, in the 7th minute the Eagles had two great opportunities coming from back-to-back corner kicks. With a header by 6'6" freshman Boaz DaSilva just getting deflected wide by the keeper, the Eagles got another chance. With a shot by Giovanni Pauliello going just wide of the goal the Eagles had two quality looks inside the first 10 minutes of the match. As the half was ending Talladega had a quality 1-on-1 opportunity but keeper Bryce Hammond won the battle and led the Eagles into the half 0-0.

As the second half began the rain and wind intensified and so did both team's intensity to try and win this match. Just three minutes into the second half, Pauliello got another great look that was saved by the Talladega keeper. As the clock continued to tick, both teams' physicality was taken up a notch. With eight fouls and two cards (including a red) given out by the official in the second half, neither sideline was willing to give up. As the half came to a close, the match final remained 0-0 from minute zero to minute ninety.

What's Next:
Saturday, the Eagles will be in Greenville, SC to face their NCCAA South Region rival Bob Jones University. With a historical record of 6 wins and only 5 losses, the Eagles don't plan to let the Bruins tie up the historical record!
