Lady Eagles Win Big Against Andrew College

Game Recap:
After an alternating win-loss-win-loss on the Lady Eagles schedule, the Lady Eagles were due for a win. With a 3-0 win against Andrew College on August 30th of this season, the team looked to repeat their previous success. Everything went according to the plan, with another 3-0 victory over the Tigers, the Lady Eagles season grows to an 11-7 record.
 
After the score was tied four times in the first ten points, the Lady Eagles focused and surged ahead with a 20-8 run, defeating the Tigers 25-13 in the first set. Riding that momentum, they delivered an impressive performance in the second set. With two separate 7-0 runs, the Lady Eagles once again claimed victory, winning the second set 25-11. With a solid 2-0 lead in the match, the Lady Eagles were able to give every player on the team multiple opportunities to contribute. The third set was more competitive, but the Lady Eagles secured a 25-19 win, marking their 11th victory of the season. As a team, the Lady Eagles notched 44 kills to Andrew's 15, 41 assists to Andrew's 13, and scored 55 points compared to Andrew's 17—truly a dominant Friday night performance.
 
Lyssie Metzker and Sydney Anderson once again spearheaded the offense, combining for 23 kills on 51 attempts. Anderson topped the match with a .455 hitting percentage, while Metzker followed closely with a .414 hitting percentage and also contributed three service aces. On the defensive side, libero Hope Brooks led the team with 16 digs, with Metzker right behind her, recording 11 digs.
 
What's Next:
Tomorrow, the Lady Eagles will be hosting a tri-match including Andrew College and Toccoa Falls College. First thing tomorrow, the Lady Eagles will once again match up against Andrew College at 10:00 AM following the AC vs. TFC matchup, the Lady Eagles will square off against Toccoa Falls College for the second time this season. Tipoff is set for 2:00 PM!
