Lady Eagles Lose Their Fifth Regular Season Game

While on the road, the Lady Eagles fought hard but ultimately lost their fifth regular season game to NAIA opponent Warner University (13–6) by a final score of 47–82.

The Lady Eagles pushed themselves hard and were able to enter halftime down by only 5 points. However, the Lady Royals of Warner University pushed to extend their lead by 21 points in the third quarter. Even with senior Leah Phelps scoring 16 points, the run by the Lady Royals was ultimately too great for the Lady Eagles to overcome. Warner University took advantage of the 16 turnovers made by the Lady Eagles and turned them into 21 points. The Lady Royals shot 56.3 percent from behind the arc and held the Lady Eagles to only 26.3 percent from the three-point range.

Thursday, January 12, both the Eagles and the Lady Eagles will head to Trinity, Florida, to face NCCAA South Region opponent Trinity College of Florida; this game will begin at 4 p.m.
