Eagles Soar Past South Region Opponent Carolina Christian

Match Recap:
After a tough, physical matchup with LaGrange College on Saturday, the Eagles returned home to host NCCAA South Region opponent Carolina Christian College. Entering with an undefeated record against a winless Centurion squad, the Eagles had their sights set on win No. 3 of the season, and they delivered in emphatic fashion. After managing just one goal in the first half, the Eagles erupted for five in the second, soaring to a 6–0 victory.

From the opening whistle, the Eagles controlled possession and created chance after chance. In the opening 13 minutes alone, they fired off seven shots, though none broke the deadlock. The breakthrough finally came in the 30th minute after a beautifully constructed build-up from the back. Jameson Jones started the sequence, finding Justin Loveland on the wing, who played a one-touch pass to Eric Romero in the middle. Romero's cross found Samir Vieira Siqueira perfectly, and he tucked away his second goal of the season to give the Eagles the lead. Despite generating 22 first-half shots, the Eagles went into the break up just 1–0, knowing they needed to convert more of their opportunities.

The second half told a different story. Less than two minutes in, the Eagles earned a penalty after a Centurion handball in the box, though the attempt was fired over the goal. Just 10 minutes later, Jackson Clarke responded with a moment of brilliance, weaving through defenders before unleashing a rocket from outside the box into the top corner to double the lead. Ten minutes after that, a foul on Jameson Bryant set up a free kick, and senior Odanci Ndayisaba delivered with a chip shot off the keeper's fingertips to make it 3–0.

The goals kept coming. In the 68th minute, Romero added his name to the scoresheet with a stunning strike into the side netting. Then, in the closing moments, senior Angel Pietri-Garcia struck twice in quick succession. His first came in the 84th minute, cleaning up a rebound after Justus Goins' effort was saved. Just five minutes later, Pietri-Garcia found the back of the net again off a cross from Mateo Loyola, securing his first two career goals in the closing minutes of a commanding victory.

With the 6–0 victory, the Eagles improve to 3-0-1 on the season, continuing their strong start and proving their offensive firepower.
