Eagles Dominate in Their Win Over TBC

Game Recap:
In the annual matchup of the Eagles vs. Eagles, the PCC Eagles faced off against the TBC Eagles, PCC was able to close the last full week of October with a dominating 5-1 victory over the TBC Eagles. With only two games left in the regular season, the Eagles look to improve upon their .500 season and prepare themselves for their upcoming matches.

With 7 shots in the first 20 minutes of the match, PCC knew with their continued pressure and possession the ball would eventually find the back of the net. And on five occasions, it did. In the 21st minute, senior Lourenco Goncalves was able to net the first goal of the match coming off the long-ball assist from fellow-senior Chase Hawkins. Just 12 minutes later, sophomore Branson Phelps was able to net his second goal of the season to give PCC a commanding 2-0 lead going into the remainder of the first half. With a few last minute opportunities, the PCC Eagles went into the halftime break with a 2-0 lead over the TBC Eagles.

After scoring opportunities came on both sides of the field, PCC was able to strike first in the second half thanks to a PK opportunity that was netter by Chase Hawkins. With a 3-0 lead and just 30 minutes remaining, PCC continued to apply the pressure. With two back-to-back goals coming just two minutes apart in the 71st and 72nd minute, Giovanni Pauliello and Jackson Clarke were able to both net a goal and push the PCC lead to 5-0. With a goal in the 78th minute, TBC tried to make a late push, but PCC was able to hold their lead and close out their conference play with a 2-1 conference record and a 5-0 victory over TBC.
