Eagles Win Big on Senior Night

Game Recap:
To kick off the evening, the Eagles celebrated their nine seniors on the Eagles soccer team: Enok Hwang, Ethan Rivers, Chase Hawkins, Caleb Welch, Giovanni Pauliello, Bryce Hammond, Lourenco Goncalves, Matias Lee, and Dakotah Barchus. With an impressive 33 wins among this senior class, these Eagles have demonstrated unwavering heart and commitment to their team over the past four years. However, as soon as the first whistle blew, the boys focused and took care of business. With a decisive 3-0 victory over the Dallas Christian Crusaders on Senior Night, the Eagles improved their record to 6-6-1, with only four regular season games left.

Featuring ten total shots and a high level of intensity, tonight's game was set to be a fierce contest. After 32 scoreless minutes, the Eagles broke the deadlock. Senior Enok Hwang, scoring for the first time in his career, found the back of the net to give his team the lead. Despite the continued physical play and fast pace, the Eagles managed to maintain their 1-0 advantage through the rest of the first half.

Less than ten minutes into the second half, the Eagles struck again, this time from another senior. On his senior night, Giovanni Pauliello netted his 10th career goal, extending the Eagle lead to two. As the clock wound down, the intensity persisted. With 5 yellow cards and 35 fouls called by the officials, the mentally and physically resilient Eagles had to finish strong. In the 79th minute, with a few late substitutions in play, sophomore Branson Phelps scored the first goal of his career, sealing the Eagles' 3-0 triumph over the Dallas Christian Crusaders.
