Game Recap:
After a tough overtime loss one week ago in Toccoa, GA the Lady Eagles landed in Nashville to face the Welch College Lady Flames. After a hot start, the Lady Eagles found themselves in a nail-biting 4th quarter that culminated in a 66-62 victory on the road for the Lady Eagles.

After winning the tip, and Kristin Mentzer knocking down the first shot of the game the Lady Eagles were off to a 12-1 run to open the game in the first quarter. Nine of twelve opening points in the 1st quarter came from Mentzer as she led the team to a 26-13 lead at the end of the 1st. With a lead, Welch quickly turned around and outscored the Lady Eagles 22-9 in the second quarter which pushed the halftime score to a 35-35 tie ballgame. After the halftime break, the 3rd quarter was a battle from start to finish. With both teams shooting higher than 40% but totaling 9 turnovers, the 3rd quarter shook out to an 18-17 victory for the Lady Flames.

As the teams entered the 4th quarter, the Lady Flames held a slim 53-52 edge over the Lady Eagles. While the first three quarters combined for 105 points there were only 25 combined points scored in the 4th quarter.
