Eagles Reach Triple Digits in South Region Win Over TBC

Game Recap:
After winning back-to-back games at home, the Eagles hit the road to face Trinity Baptist College in their first South Region matchup of 2024. With two players totaling 52 points, the Eagles were able to pull out the 100-93 victory!
 
After the first two shots went down for the Eagles it was off to the races for this 40-minute South Region game. As the teams battled throughout the first half it was the battle of the point guards. TBC's Diego Fernandez had 15 points at the break while PCC's Brandtley Koske had 13-points. As the first half neared the ten-minute mark junior guard Colin Wilkerson provided a huge spark off the bench, knocking down 3 threes in four possessions, giving him 9-points at halftime.
 
As the teams exited the break, PCC led Trinity 52-39. Although the Eagles outscored TBC in the first half, it was Trinity who outscored the Eagles in the second half. However, with the lead built up by the Eagles, they ultimately pulled out the victory. With a quick 5-0 run to start the second half, TBC started slowly closing the deficit. With TBC getting the deficit down to four at some points, the Eagles were able to battle throughout the second half and keep TBC at bay. When the final buzzer sounded, it was the PCC Eagles who came out on top with a 100-93 victory over their South Region opponents.
 
Offensively, the Eagles were led by the new backcourt combination of Brandtley Koske and Kaiden Pack who both recorded 26-points and combined for 18-32 FG shooting! With the spark off the bench, Colin Wilkerson tallied 14-points on 4-4 shooting from behind the arc.
 
What's Next:
Friday night, the Eagles and Lady Eagles will be hosted by Bob Jones University. Those games will begin at 5:00 PM CT and conclude at 7:00 PM CT. Tune in and support the Eagles and Lady Eagles against their South Region opponent.
