Lady Eagles Remain Undefeated in South Region Play

Game Recap:
After returning to the win column last night against Wesleyan College, the Lady Eagles arrived in Jacksonville, FL for their matchup against Trinity Baptist College. After a hot start in the first quarter, the Lady Eagles never looked back as they took the 13-point victory over their NCCAA South Region opponent.
 
After an offensive rebound and put back for TBC, the Lady Eagles found themselves down to start the game. After regaining the lead just 3 minutes into the game the team never gave it up. With seven of the Lady Eagles scoring in the first quarter, the lead stood at 22-11 with three quarters of play remaining. With 5-points coming from sophomore Amber Dudek in the second quarter, the Lady Eagles once again dominated the scoring and entered halftime with a 44-29 lead. As the game reset after halftime, TBC was able to outscore the Lady Eagles 22-20 and cut the 15 point deficit down to 13 points. With the fourth quarter ending in a 15-15 tie, it was the PCC Lady Eagles who pulled out the 79-66 victory and advanced their record to 13-2!
 
Leading the Lady Eagles offensively was senior Leah Phelps who scored 20 points for the second time this season on 8-17 shooting from the field. However, it was senior Montse Torres who recorded a 12 and 12 double-double in the Lady Eagles victory including 2 blocks and 1 steal.
 
What's Next:
Friday night, the Eagles and Lady Eagles will be hosted by Bob Jones University. Those games will begin at 5:00 PM CT and conclude at 7:00 PM CT. Tune in and support the Eagles and Lady Eagles against their South Region opponent.
