The Eagles Defeat the #5 Team in the Nation

The Eagles pulled out a huge victory against the #5 ranked team in the nation Trinity Baptist College. This win pushes the Eagles to 5—2 record in the South Region and a 9—9 overall record.

Tonight, the Eagles of PCC and TBC were in a 40 minute battle! Lead changes on a minute-by-minute basis in the first half and non-stop action made this game one to remember. Having a 28—26 lead at halftime the Eagles knew the second half would be a constant battle. However, the Eagles were able to pull out this win because they won the battle on the boards. Outrebounding TBC 44—32, the Eagles dominated both the offensive and the defensive sides of the glass. Leading the Eagles with rebounds was Liam Gerdts and Brandtley Koske who both grabbed 11 rebounds. Koske recorded 14 points and Gerdts totaled 17 points, propelling these two sophomores to combine for 31 total points and 22 total rebounds in the Eagles win. Through the physical and tiring game, the Eagles came out victorious winning 7 of their last 8 games!

Tomorrow night is white out night! Come out and cheer on the PCC Eagles as they take on the BJU Bruins in their NCCAA South Region matchup! The game will begin at 7:30 PM.
