Eagles Keep Their Winning Streak Alive, Defeating the Welch College Flames

The Eagles continue their win streak by defeating Welch College by a final score of 74—70. After a strong first half for the Eagles, the Flames outscored the Eagles 45—42 in the second half. However, because of the 32—25 first half the Eagles pulled off their ninth win in a row!
 
The Eagles only trailed one time in the entire game, with 17:05 left in the second half the Flames knocked down a three to take a one-point lead over the Eagles. However, the follow-up bucket from AJ Ward put the Eagles back on top. In the first six minutes of the game, the Eagles went on a 13—1 run. Although Welch outscored the Eagles by three-points in the second half, the Eagles held strong and maintained their lead and were able to pull out their 11th win in their last 12 games. Leading the offensive charge for the Eagles were seniors AJ Ward, Austin Lewis, and Christian Porter who combined for 51 points and 13 assists. The Eagles shot the ball extremely well tonight, combining for 50.9% from the field and 52.4% from behind the arc.
 
Thursday, the Eagles head for Mississippi to take on NCCAA South Region opponent Southeastern Baptist College. This is the Eagles final South Region matchup before the conclusion of their regular season. Tipoff is set for 7:00 PM CT, tune in and cheer on your Eagles to their 10th straight win.
