Eagles Hold off Warren Wilson College for Their Sixth Win in Seven Games

The Eagles once again get a win on the road for their eighth win of the season. Through a high scoring, physical, and long game the Eagles were able to pull out the 89—83 victory over NCAA DIII opponent Warren Wilson College.

From the tip, this game was a close and hard-fought battle. From the first whistle, the Eagles and Owls were locked into what was guaranteed to be a down to the wire finish. With a one-point deficit at halftime (46—47) the Eagles came into the second half determined to leave with what they came for… their victory! In the first minute and forty-five seconds of the second half the Eagles regained the lead. But this lead did not last long, with all the back and forth scoring neither team was willing to give an inch. Being down by four with 7:22 left on the clock, the Eagles knew they had to make a push. The Eagles then made a strong 8—0 run that lasted just over two minutes. This run put the Eagles in the lead, and they never looked back! AJ Ward contributed 24 points and 5 rebounds to the Eagles battling victory. However, Austin Lewis once again led the Eagles offense recording 29 points and 8 assists in 38 minutes played.

Friday night is the conclusion of the ECI high school basketball tournament, this tournament will conclude with the PCC Eagles facing off against the TBC Eagles! This South Region matchup is set to tipoff at 7:00 PM. Come out or tune in and cheer on your Eagles to their fifth South Region win.
