The Eagles Hold Onto Their Victory Against Southeastern Illinois College

The Eagles pulled out the 78—75 victory against Southeastern Illinois College in another nail-biter ending.

Going into halftime with a 41—32 lead, the Eagles looked to close out their fifth win of the season. However, Southeastern showed grit and desire coming out of the halftime break. However, the Eagles were able to withstand the Falcons offensive attack. Southeastern guard Amari Wales scored 36 points off the bench causing a lot of problems for the Eagles defense. However, it was the play from the three seniors that led the Eagles to their victory! Not only did all three seniors achieve 1,000 career points, but Austin Lewis recorded a new career high in both points and rebounds with 27 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists. Although AJ Ward fouled out, he was still able to record 17 points and 5 rebounds. And rounding out the seniors, Christian Porter tied his season high with 18 points and 5 assists.

Next Friday, the Eagles head to West Virginia to face NCCAA Mideast Region opponent Appalachian Bible College. This is the first time in history these two teams will clash in the regular season. Tune in and support your Eagles on the road!
