Lady Eagles Once Again Defeat NCCAA South Region Opponent on the Road

The Lady Eagles once again dominated their NCCAA South Region opponent, defeating Johnson University of FL by a score of 75—50.
 
After a strong first quarter, the Lady Eagles never looked back. Outscoring the Suns in all four quarters, the Lady Eagles were leading by 42—27 going into halftime. Once again, senior guard Leah Phelps led the Lady Eagles in scoring, totaling 18 points and shooting 11/21 from the field. Sophomore forward Montse Torres set a new career high, scoring 13 points on top of grabbing 6 rebounds. The Lady Eagles defensively were able to turnover the Suns 22 times and hold them under 30% shooting from the field.
 
Tuesday, the Lady Eagles will end their road-trip by facing another NCCAA South Region opponent. This game will be against Trinity Baptist College and begin at 5:00 PM CT. Be sure to tune in and cheer on your Lady Eagles on the road!
