Eagles Hold off Trinity College of FL for Their Second Conference Win in a Row

After beginning the season 0–7 on the road, the Eagles turned around and defeated NCCAA South Region opponent Trinity College of Florida with a final score of 90–80—their second South Region win of the season.

Although the Tigers made a late second-half push, the Eagles were able to hold onto their early lead and win by 10 points. The Eagles came out firing in the first half, going into halftime with a 51–26 lead. The bench contributed 13 points, and the starters combined for the remaining 77 points! Leading the starters, senior forward AJ Ward nearly tied his season high, scoring 25 points. Senior point guard Christian Porter put on a great show, recording 15 points and 13 assists! Porter recorded the Eagles first double-double of the season coming from points and assists. Sophomore Stephen Fike made his first regular season start and contributed 11 points and 5 rebounds in just 20 minutes played.

The Eagles plan to keep the South Region winning streak alive when they face Johnson University of Florida this Saturday at 3 p.m. Tune in and cheer on your Eagles in their fourth South Region game of the season.
