Lady Eagles Dealt Tough Home Loss

On Tuesday, September 6, the Lady Eagles fought hard against the University of Mobile Lady Rams, a tough NAIA opponent. Unfortunately, the Lady Eagles were unable to overcome the power and size of this team.
 
Freshman Hannah Romero led the Lady Eagles' offense with 7 kills and 9 digs. Junior Allie McGuirt also helped push the Lady Eagles, finishing the match with 5 kills and 6 digs. Unfortunately for the Lady Eagles, the University of Mobile was too tall of a task and could not be overcome. Even through a strong push in the third set, the Lady Eagles fell short by a score of 20–25.
 
This coming weekend, the Lady Eagles host the South Region Volleyball Kickoff Tournament. This tournament hosts six of the teams in the NCCAA South Region. Each of these teams will play each other, combining for twelve games in two days. The Lady Eagles will open this tournament playing Johnson University of Florida at 12 noon (CT), this coming Friday, September 9, in the Sports Center arena!
