Eagles Win 1-0 With a Thrilling Last Minute Goal

The Eagles were able to pull off a last-minute win against NAIA opponent, the Johnson University of Tennessee Royals. Scoring in the 89th minute of the match, the Eagles move to a 4–6 record for the season after this 1–0 victory.

After winning their previous match by a score 1–0, the Eagles looked to continue their winning streak with a win against a tough NAIA opponent. The Eagles were in a back-and-forth battle with the Royals for the entire match. Senior goalkeeper Adam Lund was able to make four incredible saves and keep the Eagles in this back-and-forth game. After the Eagles took 15 shots, they were desperate to put one in the net and seal the win. With one minute left on the clock, senior midfielder Clint Peterson put in the game-winning goal! This win continues the Eagles' winning streak of the 2022 season, going 3–0 in their last three matches.

This weekend, the Eagles head to Greenville, South Carolina, to take on NCCAA South Region opponent Bob Jones University. This match begins at 6 p.m. (CT). Be sure to tune in and cheer on the Eagles in their South Region matchup!
