Lady Eagles Go 0-2 During Weekend Tri-Match

Saturday, the Lady Eagles participated in their third tri-match of the 2022 season. Unfortunately for the Lady Eagles, both matches resulted in a 0-3 sweep. Both losses were dealt by NAIA opponents, the Florida College Falcons and the Warner University Royals.

Coming into the tri-match, the Lady Eagles wanted to leave with a 2-0 record on the day. Unfortunately, Warner University and Florida College had a different plan in mind. However, defensively the Eagles junior libero Kora Lathers led the Lady Eagles defensively with 35 digs on the day. Offensively, the Lady Eagles were led by senior outside hitter Brittney Hunter who totaled 12 kills on the day. With these two losses, the Lady Eagles now fall to a record of 5-10 on the season, with eleven remaining games.

Next Friday, the Lady Eagles head to Georgia to take on NCAA DIII opponent LaGrange College at 6:00p. Immediately followed by another tri-match in Toccoa Falls, Georgia. There, the Lady Eagles will face the Toccoa Falls Screaming Eagles and the Johnson University of Tennessee Lady Royals. Be sure to tune in and cheer on your Lady Eagles!
