Eagles Defeat Their First NCCAA Opponent of the Season, Trinity Baptist College

The Eagles were able to defeat Trinity Baptist College by a score of 1-0. This was the Eagles first NCCAA opponent of the 2022 season. Looking to land a high seed in the next ranking, PCC lands their first conference win making a statement in the South Region.
 
The Eagles were able to posses the majority of the game allowing for more scoring opportunities and decision making. Leading the charge offensively for the Eagles was freshman forward Gabe Burton. Burton was able to score the second goal of his young PCC career in this NCCAA match. In the 35th minute of the match, sophomore Lourenço Gonçalves found Burton with a well placed through ball, opening the field and leaving Burton and the keeper in a one-on-one situation. Fortunately for the Eagles, Burton was able to score the goal and lead this Eagles team to their third win of the season.
 
Next week the Eagles hit the road and head for Tennessee to face the Johnson University of Tennessee Royals Thursday September 29 at 6:00p. Then the Eagles face NCCAA South Region opponent Bob Jones University Saturday, October 1 at 6:00p. Be sure to tune in and cheer on your Eagles!
