Eagles Lose Another Tough Road Match to the MUW Owls

The Eagles suffered another tough loss on Saturday, September 17, with a final score of 1–0 against the Mississippi University for Women Owls. The Eagles suffered a penalty inside the goalie box in the last minute of the first half, resulting in a successful penalty kick by the Owls. This allowed the Owls to take the lead going into halftime and to hold the Eagles scoreless.

Unfortunately for the Eagles soccer team, this is the fifth game in a row without scoring a goal. Although the Eagles were able to put two shots on goal, neither of them went in to tie the game and give the Eagles a chance to win at the end.

Thursday, September 22, the Eagles will host another NAIA opponent the Tougaloo College Bulldogs. This will be a quick trip home, as the Eagles will once again head out for a three-game road trip going from Florida to Tennessee and then to South Carolina. Be sure to show your support and cheer on the Eagles soccer team!
