Eagles Lose Home Match Against Faulkner

On Saturday, September 10, The Eagles lost their home matchup against NAIA opponent Faulkner University. With the only win of the season being on Eagle Field last week against Florida College, the Eagles had hoped to put a second win on their record. Unfortunately, the Eagles could not claim the win.

Defensively the Eagles were in a hole early when starting right back Owen Litchfield went down with an injury. This injury kept Litchfield on the bench for the remainder of the game. Because this injury occurred in the first twenty minutes of the match, the Eagles had some defensive woes throughout the remainder of the game. Unfortunately, the Eagles had no shots on goal and were unable to make an offensive push later in the game.

The Eagles head to Mississippi on Thursday, September 15, to face NCAA DIII opponent Millsaps College at 7:30 p.m. The Eagles will remain in Mississippi and take on NCAA DIII opponent Mississippi University for Women on Saturday, September 17, at 2 p.m.
