Lady Eagles Dominate in Road Game Against NCAA DIII Opponent MUW

The Lady Eagles dominated from the tip-off and won this Mississippi University of Women (MUW) matchup 76–49. Outscoring the Lady Owls by 20 in the first half allowed the Lady Eagles to start and finish strong!

After winning the first quarter by a score of 19–7, the Lady Eagles didn't back down offensively or defensively—they dominated the ball, the pace, and the boards! Defensively, the Lady Eagles were able to force 23 turnovers and score 27 points off turnovers. Once again, the Lady Eagles were led in scoring by senior guard Leah Phelps, who not only scored 20 points but also grabbed 7 rebounds. However, tonight was a team effort. Helping Leah in the point column was junior guard Jenna Wolford who scored 19 points. And dominating the rebounds was junior guard Alissa Brewer who finished the game with 5 points and 10 rebounds!

Saturday, the Lady Eagles host NCAA DIII opponent Belhaven University at 1 p.m. This is the Lady Eagles' final game of 2022 and the final game of this semester. Come out to show support and cheer on your Lady Eagles through their last home game of the semester!
