Eagles Are Dealt a Tough Loss by NCAA DIII Opponent MUW

The Eagles played hard until the final buzzer but were dealt a tough loss against NCAA DIII opponent the Mississippi University for Women (MUW). With nine lead changes and the gap remaining in the single digits, this was a close game from start to finish. But unfortunately for the Eagles, the MUW Owls pulled out the five-point victory.

Although AJ Ward was able to lead the Eagles with 23 points, the Eagles gave up 17 offensive rebounds and 17 second chance points. The Eagles being outrebounded 22–4 is the only negative stat too be found. The Eagles shot 57 percent from the field, while the Owls only shot 47 percent. Unfortunately, because of offensive rebounding, the Owls were able to shoot 10 more field goals than the Eagles.

Saturday the Eagles will host Ave Maria University at 3 p.m. This will be the Eagles' final game in 2022 before going on Christmas break. Be sure be sure to come out, support, and cheer on your Eagles in their last game of the year!
