Lady Eagles Remain Undefeated in NCCAA Games

The Lady Eagles remain undefeated against NCCAA opponents by defeating the Southeastern Baptist Chargers by a final score of 75—53. This win pushes the Lady Eagles to a 6—3 record on the season.

Outscoring the Lady Chargers 17—9 in the first quarter set the tone early for the Lady Eagles to remain confident and dominant in this South Region matchup. Early in the game, the scoring was led by junior Jenna Wolford with 12 points in the first quarter! However, it was the dominating performance from senior Leah Phelps who stole the night. Phelps was able to break the record for most points by a Lady Eagle recording 35 points! This scoring night surpassed Ashley Goins' 33-point performance in 2014 against Clearwater Christian. Phelps went 12/24 from the field and was 6/14 from the three-point line. Along with her scoring, Leah also led the Lady Eagles defensively with 4 of the Lady Eagles 14 steal.

Tuesday, the Lady Eagles will head to Columbus, MS to take on NCAA DIII opponent the Mississippi University for Women. The Eagles' men's team will play first, and the Lady Eagles game will begin at 7:00p CT. Be sure to tune in and support your Lady Eagles basketball team.
