Lady Eagles Lose Tough Game to NCAA DIII opponent Belhaven University

The Lady Eagles lost a tough game to NCAA DIII opponent Belhaven University. After being down 21 at the end of the third quarter, the Lady Eagles were able to bring the game back to a 10 point deficit with a final score of 72—82.
 
In the first minutes of the game, senior guard Leah Phelps became the 7th Lady Eagle to surpass 1,000 career points. After her free throws, Phelps remained scoreless in the 2nd and 3rd quarter, but recorded 17 points in the 4th quarter alone! Helping her offensively was sophomore Kyelie Marquis who recorded a new career-high of 17 points. The Lady Eagles got down in the second half being outscored in the 3rd quarter 12—28. However, the Lady Eagles never gave up, and fought back to make it a ten point game.
 
This is the Lady Eagles fourth loss of the regular season. This game concludes the first semester of games for the Lady Eagles. With thirty-one days until the next game, the Lady Eagles will travel to Warner University on January 10th, to re-open their season.
