Eagles Suffer Loss to NCCAA South Region Opponent Toccoa Falls

The Eagles suffered a tough NCCAA South Region loss to Toccoa Falls College. With a tough push in the second half, the Eagles were unable to mount a comeback against a tough opponent.

The Eagles faced South Region opponent Toccoa Falls College on the opening night of the Pensacola Invitational Tournament. The Eagles were able to win the second half by a score of 48—46. Unfortunately for the Eagles, this was not enough to comeback from the 41—54 first half performance put on by the Toccoa Falls Screaming Eagles. It was three of the Eagle seniors that led the scoring for tonight's game. AJ Ward led the Eagles with 18 points, "Korri" Edwards recorded 17 points, and Austin Lewis ended the night with 15 points. Even with these high scoring players, the Eagles were unable to get their first win of the 2022-2023 season.

Saturday, the Eagles will conclude the Pensacola Invitational by playing NAIA opponent, the University of Mobile. The Eagles then have a little break before heading to Birmingham, AL for their Thursday night game against NCAA DIII opponent Birmingham Southern University.
