Eagles Claim Their First Win of the 2022-2023 Season Against LB Wallace Community College

The Eagles claimed their first win of their season against NJCAA opponent LB Wallace Community College. With this 77—72 win, the Eagles improve to 1—4 on the season.
 
After a close 35—36 halftime score, the Eagles rallied to come back and take a 77—72 win by dominating the second half of play. The Eagles extended their lead to 8 points with 14:06 left in the game and were able to hold of the LB Wallace Saints and win their first game of the season. Leading the Eagles in scoring was senior AJ Ward who had 26 points and was 11-11 from the free throw line! Sophomore Liam Gerdts recorded his first double-double of the season finishing with 12 points and 14 rebounds. Rounding out the scoring was Eagles senior Austin Lewis who finished with 18 points and 6 rebounds.
 
Monday, the Eagles head to Georgia to face NCAA DIII opponent LaGrange College. This game will take place in LaGrange, GA and begin at 6:00p ET. Be sure to tune in and cheer on your Eagles basketball team.
