Lady Eagles Defeat NCCAA Mideast Opponent Welch College

The Lady Eagles were able to win their second game in a row against an NCCAA opponent. Dominating play for three of the four quarters, the Lady Eagles were able to leave Tennessee with another win to their season record.
 
After winning the first three quarters by a score of 63—49, Welch College made a big fourth quarter push outscoring the Lady Eagles 13—23 in the fourth. But with the poise and closing ability of the Lady Eagles they were able to take the win by a final score of 76—72. Offensively, the Lady Eagles were led by junior Jenna Wolford and senior Leah Phelps who both scored 22 points! And with the productive bench play of Montse Torres, who recorded a career-high of 12 points, the Lady Eagles were able to secure their first road win of the season.
