Eagles Lose to NCAA DIII Opponent Birmingham Southern

The Eagles suffered their third loss of the season to NCAA DIII opponent Birmingham Southern Thursday night. With junior Brandtley Koske leading the Eagles scoring with 19 points.

After competing in an exhibition game five days ago, the Eagles were warmed up and ready for this matchup. Unfortunately, the size and speed of Birmingham Southern was too overpowering for the Eagles. Outrebounding the Eagles 53—35 along with 59 total bench points, the Eagles could not defeat the Panthers. However, the Eagles were able to turnover Birmingham Southern 15 times. Leading the scoring was junior Brandtley Koske with 19 points, followed closely by senior AJ Ward with 16 points and 3 rebounds.

Friday, the Eagles will travel to Gallatin, TN to face NCCAA Mideast Region opponent Welch College. This will be just the second NCCAA game in the 2022-2023 Eagle season.
