Lady Eagles Suffer First Official Loss of the Season

The Lady Eagles lost their first regular season game against NAIA opponent Faulkner University. After a battling first half, the score was 29—36 going into halftime. But with the turned-up pressure from Faulkner, the Lady Eagles were defeated 45—79.
 
The Eagles started the game strong, winning the first quarter by a score of 20—19. Unfortunately, the Lady Eagles were outscored 25—60 for the remainder of the game. Senior PG Leah Phelps led the Lady Eagles with 15 points on 6/13 shooting. Defensively, Phelps also led the Lady Eagles with 4 steals.
 
Starting Thursday, the Eagles and Lady Eagles will be hosting the Pensacola Invitational sponsored by Campus Church. Games begin Thursday at 5:00 pm with the Lady Eagles taking on their first NCCAA opponent of the season, Toccoa Falls College. The Lady Eagles will then close out the invitational by playing NCCAA Central Region opponent Ecclesia College at 1:00 pm Saturday afternoon. Come out and show your support and cheer on your Lady Eagles this weekend
