Lady Eagles Defeat USCAA Opponent in 3-0 Sweep

The Lady Eagles faced off against USCAA opponent Atlantis University Friday night and were able to sweep the match by a score of 3–0.

After dominating the first set 25–16, the Atlanteans fought to win the second set. However, the Lady Eagles fought back and won the second set by a score of 30–28. The Lady Eagles then completed the sweep, winning the third set by a score of 25–16. The Lady Eagles were led by freshman Hannah Romero who dominated both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. Recording 9 kills and leading the team with 13 digs, Romero was able to help lead the Lady Eagles to their seventh win of the season. Another dominant player was junior Allie McGuirt, who led the Lady Eagles with 11 kills and 4 blocks, dominating the net and pushing the Lady Eagles to victory!

Tomorrow, the Lady Eagles will once again face Atlantis University at 10 a.m. After their Saturday morning match, the Lady Eagles will travel to Panama City to face NJCAA opponent Gulf Coast State College Monday night at 6 p.m.
