Lady Eagles Add Another Win to Their Streak

Both teams tested their abilities from the 3-point line in the opening minutes, with the Lady Eagles finding better shots and taking a slim 3-point lead. The game slowed for a few minutes until  No. 23 Emma Hardy blocked a shot from No. 20 Jordan Reed to thunderous applause from the home crowd. Less than a minute later, No. 10 Caitlyn Benedik scored on a breakaway layup to increase the Lady Eagles' lead. At the end of the first quarter, the Lady Eagles were up 20-5, but Toccoa found their offensive rhythm in the second quarter thanks to a couple of impressive shots from No. 5 Khashami Smith and kept pace with the Lady Eagles, scoring 14 points in the second quarter to trail by 19 at halftime.

The Lady Eagles shot well from the three in the third quarter, improving upon their 3-point percentage from the previous quarter by 15 percent. They continued to increase their lead in the third quarter, outscoring Toccoa 21-8. Up by almost 40 in the fourth quarter, Coach Sellars opted to play his bench for the remainder of the game, and Toccoa Falls soon followed suit. The Lady Eagles' bench players didn't fail to impress as No. 14 Kaylee Fleshman hit a pair of jump shots in the final minute of the game to give the Lady Eagles an 82-36 victory over Toccoa Falls.
