The Lady Eagles lost a close match to Pensacola State College in 3 sets on Tuesday. Most of the first set was close before the Pirates won 7 of the last 8 rallies to pull ahead and win 25-19. #12
Ginger Cannon started the second set strong by blocking 25% of the first dozen rallies from Pensacola State College. In spite of Cannon's early success in the second set, the Lady Eagles were unable to close out the second set and lost by a score of 25-21. The third and final set began with plenty of errors for both sides and remained close throughout before the Pirates were able to secure the set by a score of 25-23. The Pirates were led by #12 Fisher, who had 15 kills and 21 points, as well as solid play from #3 Woods (8 K, 9 Pts) and #6 Payne (5 K, 9 Pts). The Lady Eagles were led by #12 Cannon (4 K, 7.5 Pts) and #3 Baldonado (6 K, 6 Pts).
On Friday, the Lady Eagles will travel to Brewton, Alabama to take on Coastal Alabama Community College at 6pm CT.
