Lady Eagles Hot Shooting Second Half Leads to Big Win.

Knoxville, TN - The Lady Eagles knocked down fourteen 3-pointers tonight on route to a 90-65 win over Johnson University. The game went back and forth in the first half as the Royals matched the Eagles intensity on both ends of the court.

As the second half started the Lady Eagles caught fire and were able to pull away.

The Lady Eagles were led in scoring by sandy McElhaney with 26 points and 5 assists. Lauran Alvarez had a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds. One of the biggest standouts of the night was the performance of Caitlyn Benedik, Caitlyn score 18 points and was a spark of energy for the team in the second half.

Coach Sellars has this to say about the game, "I am really happy with our performance on the offensive end tonight. The flow was good and it was nice to see the whole team getting involved. It was good win against a very well coached team that plays really hard. We have a few things to improve on the defensive end but it was a great team win tonight."
