Pensacola, FL – The Eagles had their rematch against Talladega College today that resulted in a loss for the Eagles 60-78.
 
The Eagles shot well from behind the arc early in this rematch of their season-opener, making 62.5% of their 3's in the first five minutes to jump out to a 12-9 lead. The rest of the first half was fraught with turnovers for both teams, with a combined total of 28. After six lead changes, the first half ended with Talladega leading 34-29.
 
The Eagles struggled at the start of the second half, failing to put up any points in the first five minutes. This drought for the Eagles allowed Talladega to jump to a 13-point lead. The Eagles were not able to overcome the slow start in the second half. Talladega held on to the lead for the rest of the game and won 78-60.
 
Austin Lewis and John Clay were today's top performers for the Eagles. Austin Lewis came off the bench with 16 points and 4 steals. John Clay contributed 15 points and 6 rebounds.

The Eagles travel to Brewton, Alabama to take on Coastal Alabama Community College – East this upcoming Monday.
