Eagles Fall to #3 Ranked Rams

PENSACOLA, Florida – Pedro Lima scored the lone goal for the Eagles in tonight's home matchup against NAIA powerhouse University of Mobile. Despite the late goal, the Eagles would go on to fall 5-1 against the #3 ranked Rams.

The Eagles moved the ball well in the opening minutes of the game. Just two minutes into the contest, the Rams would score their first goal off a corner kick. A header by David Hall gave his team a 1-0 advantage. The team continued to put pressure on the Rams defense throughout the remainder of the 1st half.

In the 2nd half, the Eagles would struggle to find any legitimate scoring opportunities. The Rams would add their 5th goal of the game in the 75th minute. With just minutes remaining in the game, a foul at the top of the box gave the Eagles one final opportunity to score. Freshman midfielder took the free kick and buried an in swinger to give the Eagles their first and only goal of the game.

"Our offense did a really good job of moving the ball in the first half tonight." Head Coach Joseph Liwosz continued, "We got spread out a bit too much, and the Rams were able to take advantage of some holes in our defense."
