Lauren Moore, hired as the Events and Operations Coordinator, grew up in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. From a young age, Moore loved watching and playing sports. From third grade through college, Moore brought that passion to the court by playing on basketball and volleyball teams.
Before making her way to PCC, Moore attended Crown College in Tennessee. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Small Business and Entrepreneurship in 2021. Upon completion of her bachelor’s degree, Moore began the Graduate Assistant (GA) program at Pensacola Christian College, graduating in May of 2023 with her Master’s in Business Administration.
While she attended Crown College, Moore played college volleyball and also had the unique opportunity to coach a little league basketball team. Once she arrived on the PCC campus, Moore received her GA position as the Collegian Sports Assistant in the Student Activities Office.
Upon completion of her master’s degree, Moore was presented with the opportunity to remain at Pensacola Christian College and work in the athletic department as the Events and Operations Coordinator. She accepted the position. When asked what led her to this decision, she said, “Coming here as a Graduate Assistant, I had no intentions of staying longer than my two years for schooling. But, after getting the offer from Dr. Mutsch, I began to pray and talk to my parents. One thing led to the other and the Lord continued to open all the right doors that led me to the PCC Eagles Athletics.”
Moore’s life verse is Psalm 37:4, “Delight thyself also in the Lord, and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.”
