While many awards given to athletes focus on the player's skills and physical abilities on the surface, one award is reserved for a much deeper purpose. The Eagle Award is awarded to a player that displays a solid performance in the classroom, reflects Jesus Christ, is an excellent teammate, an influential leader, and performs well on the court or field – what embodies a true PCC Eagle. After much consideration, the Eagles Athletics team has awarded Eagles soccer player Jake McClelland with the Eagle Award for his display of character, positive influence on others, and outstanding performance on the field.

Eagles soccer Head Coach Joseph Liwosz shared why he believed Jake won the Eagle Award, "Jake was First Team All-Region for three years in a row, second team All American his sophomore year and first team All American the past two years. Jake has been a great leader for us athletically and academically. Academically, he has been one of the hardest working on the team. Athletically, he has come into preseason one of the most prepared players on the team and always pushes himself and his teammates to be the best they possibly can."

"All four years, but especially his senior year, Jake has been someone the coaches can trust to be a good Godly example. He is a very trustworthy players with great character. He was nominated to win the award because of the unwavering leadership that he has brought on and off the soccer field for this team. He has always set a great example for the team with the way that he works on and off the soccer field."
